Kate Wetzel serves as chief of staff for the Office of the CEO, where she is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives and driving efficiencies across the organization by leveraging BD Excellence principles to help ensure the execution of our strategy. Wetzel also serves as a member of the BD Executive Leadership Team.
Wetzel, a seasoned business process expert, joined BD in 2022 as vice president of business process excellence in Diagnostic Solutions where she drove operational planning, execution and continuous improvement across the business and played a pivotal role in strategic initiatives, optimizing performance and ensuring process governance across various functions. Prior to joining BD, Wetzel spent nearly 20 years at Johnson & Johnson having served as chief of staff for the executive chairman of the consumer segment, as well as in roles across supply chain strategy, customer logistics, transportation planning and business processes.
Wetzel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics and Master of Business Administration in Supply Chain from Rutgers University.
